Ensemble men - page labelled ACT TWO, p.67, p.69 (Father de Leo, Saleseman)Please make bold, differentiated choices. We are seeking character actors.

Alvaro - p.69-end. An Italian accent is appreciated but if faced with the choice between chemistry with a reader and an accent, we’d rather see your chemistry.

Rosa - p.43

August - Review all sides. You will be asked to perform a selection based on available pairings.

Kip - p.32, p.66(You will be asked to perform the first scene. You may be asked to perform the second.)

Ensemble - p.39, p.57 (Men will no be expected to perform the second scene). The Actress is modeled after Tallulah Bankhead, if that is helpful to your preparation.

Tennessee Williams Abridged

Please prepare the speech and select 1-2 over-the-top or even absolutely wrong interpretations. Deliver with full commitment in a manner that would be accessible to a high school audience. You will be given adjustments and there may be some improvisation in your callback.

For example: Eartha Kitt as Blanch DuBois performing to a tea party of stuffed animals, with one broken high heel, but entirely serious.
